On the morning of June 21, Professor Fang Yong from East China Normal University was invited to NYNU to give an academic report titled New Learning of Philosophers and the Dissemination of Chinese Culture. Representatives of some teachers and students from the School of Journalism and Communication and the School of Literature attended.
Professor Fang Yong’s academic report revolves around the interactive relationship between the academic concept of “New Learning of Philosophers” and Chinese culture. It first introduces the proposal and innovative development of the “New Learning of Philosophers” concept, and explains the rich connotation of “New Learning of Philosophers” to the students in a simple profound way, and focuses on elaborating the practical orientation function of “New Learning of Philosophers”. Professor Fang Yong believes that only by empowering this issue with a variety of traditional cultural resources, can the construction of a strong Chinese cultural nation be effectively promoted.
Professor Fang Yong’s report is highly forward-looking and expansive in the field of ancient literature research. It not only deepens the understanding of traditional culture among our faculty and students but also plays an active role in refining the research directions of the School of Journalism and Communication, as well as in the application for high-level scientific research projects.
