On the evening of September 19, the video meeting for cooperation between NYNU and Virginia Commonwealth University was held in the Conference Room 409 on the 4th floor of the Science and Technology Building. Dr. Jill Blondin, vice provost for Global Initiatives at Virginia Commonwealth University, heads of relevant colleges, schools, and functions of the two universities attended. The meeting was chaired by Professor Xu Yaoying, director of the Center for International Education Research, Virginia Commonwealth University, USA.

The International Office welcomed the leaders and colleagues of Virginia Commonwealth University, and expressed its sincere appreciation to Professor Xu Yaoying for his early work on the cooperation between the two universities. Dr. Jill Blondin, on behalf of Virginia Commonwealth University, expressed support for a cooperative exchange program with NYNU, and she proposed to use the student exchange program as a pilot to gradually increase the depth and breadth of cooperation. Dr. Kathleen Rudasill, interim dean of the School of Education at Virginia Commonwealth University, introduced the general situation of the school of Education in detail, and expressed the hope that the teachers and students of related professions in the two schools could have substantive exchanges.

At the meeting, the two sides discussed the details of project cooperation methods, professional docking, personnel training and graduation requirements.

After friendly consultation, the two sides reached a consensus on the inter-university exchanges of the three dominant majors, and indicated that the two universities should gradually and substantively carry out cooperation on the basis of the existing cooperation, and further implement the project.
