On the morning of June 18, a series of activities called “
Chinese and International Friends from 18 Countries Get
ting
Together for the Dragon Boat Festival
” were hosted by Henan Zaixin Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (located at Huangtaigang Town, Wancheng District, Nanyang) before
the coming of the Dragon Boat Festival. The event aims to promote traditional Chinese culture, guide international students to understand and feel the cultural connotations of traditional Chinese festivals and the humanistic charm of Nanyang, and strengthen exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth.

t was organized and supported by Nanyang Normal University, Nanyang Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Zhongjing Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry. Nearly 30 international teachers and students from 18 countries including the United States, Japan, and Pakistan participated in the event.
At the venue, the international teachers and students felt a strong festive atmosphere. After the entrance ceremony of moxibustion, herbal wash, five color thread binding and sachet hanging, the international teachers and students actively experienced the folk culture of wrapping Zongzi, Chinese calligraphy, wrapping flower bouquets, experiencing moxibustion, wearing hanfu (traditional clothing of Han Chinese), making sachets, painting forehead, shooting five poisons, and carefully savoring the rich cultural connotation of traditional Chinese festivals.
In the modern flow workshop of Zaixin Biotechnology Co., Ltd., the international teachers and students knew more about the Chinese modernization and the development determination of Chinese enterprises to “go global”.
Hasang, as the international student representative, gave a speech and expressed his great interest in participating in traditional Chinese programs and cultural activities. In the coming future, he would continue to work hard to learn and make his own contribution to cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
The final game “beating the drum and passing the sachet” put the event to a climax.
This event was a part of the social practice and cultural experience series of “Walking Around Henan” for the international teachers and students at NYNU. It was an important way to create the brand of “Studying at Nanyang Normal University”, aiming to strengthen the international teachers’ and students’ further understanding of the brilliant Chinese civilization and modern China after the reform and opening up, and help them tell China’s stories better with richer words.
