On the afternoon of March 4, an NYNU volunteer team of foreign teachers and students went to Wuhou Temple to carry out activities themed “Learning from Lei Feng”.

In front of the Zhuge Thatched Cottage, the volunteers and tourists learned about the origin of the “Memorial Day for Learning from Lei Feng”, read Lei Feng’s sayings, issued “Civilized Tourism Initiative”, and cleaned the ancient buildings such as the Thatched Cottage so as to practice the spirit of Lei Feng with actions. Afterwards, the foreign teachers and students followed the docent, listened to Zhuge Liang”s stories, read Zhuge Liang’s Memorial on Sending Out Troops together, understood the excellent traditional Chinese culture, and felt the long history of Chinese civilization.

The foreign teachers and students said that volunteer service knows no national boundaries and each of them is a “guide” of cultural exchange as long as they had the spirit of dedication.
