Speaker’s Background and Brief Introduction:
Xing Zhizhong, who graduated from Physics Department of Peking University in 1987 and received the Doctorate from Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) in 1993, has become the researcher of IHEP since 2000 and served as an Adjunct Professor at the Modern Physics Department, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) since 2014. He is now a doctoral supervisor, a winner of the National Outstanding Youth Science Fund and Dean of the Theoretical Physics Lab of High Energy Physical Institute, CAS.
Xing Zhizhong has been mainly engaged in the research field of Neutrino Physics, Heavy Quark Effective Theory, CP Symmetry Destruction, New Physical Phenomenology, etc. He has published over 120 theses and three reviews on SCI professional journals of international importance so far, leading to a total of more than 3500 times of citing. In addition, he has been repeatedly invited to important international academic conferences, which made him become the first Chinese domestic theorist making speeches at Conferences on High Energy Physics.
Moreover, he has made longstanding contributions to the production and publicity of popular science, and has been a pioneer in writing on his blog among Chinese scientists.
