On the afternoon of May 15th, in order to promote cultural exchange and language learning among international students at our university and enhance international students’ in-depth understanding of Chinese culture, our university’s first “Charming Chinese, ‘Yu’ Goes with You ” Chinese speech contest for international students was held in the smart classroom of the Science and Technology Building. The event was organized by the International Office (School of International Education).

After the preliminary preparations, eight international students participated in the final competition. The competition included two parts: a keynote speech and a talent show. After fierce competition, ASHIR (Li Xin), a graduate student majoring in International Business, won the first prize. DIABATE ABOUBAKAR (Li Qiang) from the Business Administration program won the second prize. AKTER NIPA (Li Ni) from the Computer Science and Technology program and CHAKMA NAMITA (Nami Ta) from the Business Administration program won the third prize.

This event aimed to stimulate the enthusiasm of international students in China to learn Chinese, and to further deepen their understanding and knowledge of the Chinese language and culture.
