Recently, Lu Zhiwen, Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, received a letter from Andrei Imintsev, Assistant President of the Russian Olympic Committee and Vice President of the Russian Rowing Federation. In the letter, he thanked Secretary Lu Zhiwen for leading the team to participate in the international rowing competition in September this year, and congratulated him on the good results, and also thanked Secretary Lu Zhiwen for his support to the Russian international rowing competition, and expressed his expectation to carry out substantive cooperation with our university in competitive sports and physical education, and looked forward to officially visiting our university to conduct in-depth exchanges on the next step of cooperation between the two universities.

In September 2023, Lu Zhiwen, Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, led our university’s rowing team to Russia to participate in the Vladivostok International Rowing Competition on behalf of the country, and competed with 86 rowers from 9 countries including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Iran, and Cuba, and achieved excellent scores. This international rowing competition is an important part of the construction process of our university with international characteristics. At present, our university has made achievements not only in people-to-people exchanges, but also in competitive sports, which has further expanded the international influence of our university.
