About us: International office is responsible for foreign affairs of the university. The responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Making the development plans of international exchanges for the university, offering foreign affairs consulting for the university leaders.

  2. Hiring foreign teachers, signing contract, paying wages for the foreign teachers and managing their daily work.

  3. Examining and approving the qualifications of going abroad for study, international conference or as a senior visiting scholar of all staff, approving students’ oversea study, approving and receiving foreign visitors of the university.

  4. Enrolling and managing foreign students, contacting and communicating with the foreign schools, academic research institutions, enterprises and friends.

  5. Training the personnel who are planning to go abroad.

  6. Selecting the projects from CSC and other related work.

    Sino-Foreign cooperation programs:

    1.Sino-US Talents Training Plan

      Sino-US talents Training plan ( 1+2+1 double degree program ) is a new type of Sino-US high educational cooperation program which is co-managed by China Education Association For International Exchange (CEAIE), China Center For International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE) and American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU). The aim is to cultivate international interdisciplinary talents through innovative talents training mode. CCIEE and AASCU choose qualified colleges and universities in China and America as the members of the program. NYNU is one of the qualified members which undertakes the teaching tasks.

      Students in NYUN can apply for this program after finishing the first school year. Qualified ones can study in American colleges of this program for two years, and return to finish the last school year. After four-year study, students can get diplomas and bachelor’s degrees from both sides.

    2.YES Program (Youth Exchange Students)

      Youth Exchange Students program is a non-degree Sino-US exchange program. Applicants enter the cooperating universities to study one school year. If the English level of the applicants does not meet the required level, they will be arranged in the language center to take the intensive English courses for half a year, and then study the major courses in the next half year. After one year study, the students return to the university in China to finish other courses. The credits they got during the exchanges are admitted by the Chinese university.

    Laqueta Farrow, an American, teaching oral English for English majors


    Sarah Seveney, an American, teaching oral English for English majors

    Kathryn  Mcgowan, a British, teaching oral English for English majors

    Arash Shahriari, a British, teaching oral English for exchange students and postgraduates
