About us
School of Law was founded in the year of 2004. Over the past ten years, the school has adhered to running school openly and cultivating application-oriented and interdisciplinary legal talents. During recent years, in particular, great achievements have been accomplished by promoting the transformation of School of Law, teaching staff construction, practical teaching and research.
Now School of Law has 28 full-time teachers, of whom 3 are professors, 11 are associate professors, 4 have doctoral degrees and the other are all law postgraduates. Meanwhile, there are 16 dual functional teachers among the teaching staff and 23 part-time teachers selected from senior judges, prosecutors and lawyers.
The school was selected as one of the institutions undertaking the Professional Comprehensive Reform Pilot of Henan Province in 2012 and the Project of Outstanding Legal Talents Cultivation in 2015. Up to now, a legal experiment teaching demonstration center on campus as well as an off-campus practice base for college students has been established.
Admissions
Undergraduate Programs
1. Bachelor in Law
This program aims to help students master professional knowledge of law systematically, get familiar with Chinese laws and relevant policies of the country, develop a certain practical work abilities, prepare them to become high-level legal professionals in government agencies, enterprises and institutions, social organizations, especially the legislative, administrative, judicial, arbitration and legal service agencies.
Duration: four-year program
Credits: A minimum of 165 credits is required.
Degree awarded: Bachelor of Law
Core courses: Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and Administrative Procedure Law, Civil Law, Commercial Law, Intellectual Property Law, Economic Law, Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Civil Procedure Law, Chinese Legal History, International Law, Private International Law, International Economic Law, Environment and Resources Protection Law, Labor Law and Social Security Law etc.
2. Bachelor in Economic Law
This program aims to help students master basic theories and professional knowledge of law, get familiar with economics, management, international trade rules and related international economic treaties and conventions, develop their theoretical analysis and practical application ability and prepare them to become high-quality legal talents in the government agencies, enterprises and institutions and social organizations engaged in the work of the economic law, applied export-oriented.
Duration: four-year program
Credits: A minimum of 165 credits is required.
