[Lecture] Searching for the Lost Vocal Tradition

Introduction to the Lecturer: Zhang Dun is a New Zealand bass opera singer and vocal pedagogue. He graduated from the Vocal and Opera Department of the Central Conservatory of Music in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1998, he received a scholarship to study in the School of Music at the University of Auckland, graduating first in his class with a Diploma in Opera Performance. Since 2006, he has studied under world-renowned New Zealand singer Grant Dickson. From 1997 to 2014, he was contracted as a bass singer with the New Zealand Opera, performing in dozens of opera productions.
