Introduction to the Lecturer: Li Hai is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Civil Aviation University of China. He has participated in 15 national-level projects (including presiding over two General Projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China), three provincial/ministerial projects (as Principal Investigator), and six industry projects (as Principal Investigator). He has published over 150 academic papers in domestic and international top journals and conferences. His research interests include airborne weather radar signal processing and array information processing.
Introduction to the Lecture: Airborne weather radar is installed on civil aviation aircraft for real-time detection and display of meteorological conditions along the flight path. Pilots can use airborne weather radar to understand weather distribution ahead, avoid hazardous weather, and ensure flight safety. This lecture will present research achievements in simulation of meteorological targets (turbulence, wind shear, precipitation), turbulence detection, low-altitude wind shear detection, ground clutter suppression, and precipitation particle classification, hail detection, and ice crystal detection using polarization information, based on single-antenna and phased-array antenna airborne weather radar.
