[Lecture] The Use of Mathematics

Abstract: This report will give a comprehensive and in-depth description of mathematics from three aspects: the application of mathematics, how to learn mathematics effectively and the future development of mathematics.

It will introduce the research content of mathematics in various directions, analyze the cases of graduation of mathematics branches, and explore the learning methods of mathematics. In addition, it will also give relevant suggestions on some specific problems faced in the learning stage of mathematics.

Introduction to the speaker: Xu Dachuan, professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing University of Technology. His research interests include machine learning and optimization, approximate algorithms, etc. He has presided over eight National Natural Science Foundation projects, participated in one National Key Research and Development Plan of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and two key projects of the Beijing Natural Science Foundation. He has published one academic monograph and more than 100 academic papers.
