On the morning of June 25, at the invitation of the School of Life Science and the Office of Science and Technology, Professor Lu Jike, Doctoral Supervisor from Zhengzhou University, delivered an academic lecture titled Research and Development of Special-Purpose Foods Based on the Homology of Medicine and Food Concept. The lecture was chaired by Wei Yuping, Vice Dean of the School of Life Science, and was attended by faculty and student representatives from related fields.

Based on the medicinefood homology concept and his own research practice in the field of special-purpose foods, Professor Lu systematically elaborated on the innovative academic viewpoint that food intake is a way for organisms to exchange matter, energy, and information with the external environment. Integrating domestic and international cutting-edge research findings, Professor Lu also focused on introducing the development processes and mechanisms of action for special-purpose foods designed to improve sleep and alleviate the effects of alcohol consumption.

This academic lecture focused on food nutrition, health, and special-purpose food development. It was rigorously framed, provided a thorough theoretical analysis, and closely aligned with the needs of research practice. During the interactive session, Professor Lu engaged in in-depth discussions with faculty and students on relevant academic issues. This lecture served as an important vehicle for deepening our universitys external academic exchanges and broadening the research horizons of its faculty and students, providing valuable insights for the development of related disciplines and research practices.
