From April 16 to April 18, 2016 Henan Inorganic and Materials Chemistry Forum, co-hosted by NYNU and Henan Chemical Society, was held at NYNU. Professor Qian Yitai, academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Professor Chen Xiaoming, academician from CAS, and over 20 domestic prominent experts and scholars who have made outstanding contributions in the field of Inorganic Chemistry were present at the forum representing the highest level of domestic academic conferences on Inorganic and Materials Chemistry. The opening ceremony of the forum was hosted by Xie Haiquan, Dean of the School of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Engineering, NYNU. President Wang Liya attended the ceremony, extended warm welcome on behalf of NYNU and expressed his best wishes to the success of the forum.

At the 3-day forum, a number of experts and scholars gave speeches, and issues in the field of design, preparation, structure properties and application technology of advanced inorganic materials were under discussion and communication, demonstrating the latest research results obtained in the field of Inorganic and Materials Chemistry in recent years. The forum was universally acknowledged by the participants as it made it possible for them to broaden horizons, have inspirations and get familiar with academic frontier and latest research as well as promoted communication and cooperation between domestic experts and scholars proficient in the field of Inorganic and Materials Chemistry.

The 2016 Inorganic and Materials Chemistry Forum of Henan Province was held successfully at NYNU, which contributed to accelerating communication and cooperation with other colleges and universities, promoting original innovation in the field of Inorganic and Materials Chemistry, achieving the strategic goal of being a Comprehensive, Innovative and Applied university and implementing transformation, upgrading and innovation of the school.
