On the afternoon of October 25, professor Bao Manzhu, doctoral supervisor at the School of Gardening and Forestry, Huazhong Agricultural University, at the invitation of the School of Life Science and Technology, NYNU, gave a symposium entitled Genetic Improvement and Research Advance on Platanus. Professor Hui Fengli, Dean of the School of Life Science and Technology, presided over the symposium, at which students of bioengineering major were present.

During the symposium, professor Bao put an emphasis on the importance of observation, precision and perseverance in scientific study, making teachers and students on the scene greatly inspired.
