On the afternoon of July 8, a series of activities of a summer camp for Taiwan youth was held in NYNU. This summer camp was part of the 2017 Thousand-Member Summer Camp for Taiwan Youth launched by All-China Federation of Taiwan Compatriots.

During the opening ceremony, Nie Zhentao, an emeritus professor with NYNU, delivered a speech. Students from Taiwan universities enjoyed brilliant performances from students of NYNU, and paid a visit to the feature exhibition hall at NYNU afterwards.

With the main content of cross-strait exchange and cooperation between Taiwan region and Henan province, this summer camp aims at providing opportunities for Taiwan compatriots to experience in person the long-standing culture and leaping advancement of Henan as well as promoting youth of Henan and Taiwan to communicate with each other, making contributions to cultural inheritance and national rejuvenation of China.
