On October 29, vice president Liu Honglin went to the dormitory building and School of Foreign Languages to inspect the international teachers’ and students’ work and study, accompanied by leaders of International Office (School of International Education). Liu Honglin first went to the dormitory building and carefully checked the implementation of the solutions to the problems and suggestions gathered a few days ago. He pointed out that those urgent, difficult, worrying and expectant problems reflected by the students had been solved, which was a concrete manifestation of the full implementation of the requirements to do practical things for teachers and students. He urged the students to abide by the university’s epidemic prevention policies, do a good job in personal protection, pay attention to the safe use of electricity and food, work hard to learn Chinese and professional knowledge with a more serious attitude, and strive to become ambassadors for cultural exchanges between China and their home countries. The students were grateful to the university for providing good accommodation and promised to keep on working hard.

Then, Liu Honglin went to School of Foreign Languages to check the progress of international teachers’ tutoring room and international teachers’ office. In Room 409 of the Foreign Languages Building, Liu Honglin inspected the hardware facilities of the international teachers’ tutoring room and put forward suggestions for optimization. In Room 105, Liu Honglin had cordial exchanges with Frank and Dawn, the two international teachers who were carrying out teaching and research activities in the Elementary English Teaching and Research Section. Liu carefully inquired about the development of teaching and research activities and the construction of the international teachers’ tutoring room. International teachers were very satisfied with the university’s arrangements, and expressed that they would actively participate in teaching and research activities and integrate themselves into the teaching family of NYNU.
