Supported by Nanyang Normal University, Henan Provincial Engineering　Laboratory for Intelligent Control of Petroleum Equipment was approved by the Development and Reform Committee of Henan Province in April 2015. With an area of 2, 000 square meters, the lab has over 650 sets of equipment, fifty one researchers including thirty one full-time members.

According to the strategic demands of sophisticated equipment industry in our province, the lab has studied and developed intelligent control technologies in oil drilling equipment, production safety explosion-proof equipment, gradually focused on the intelligent control of oil drilling equipment, equipment safety explosion-proof control and intelligent equipment manufacturing, also given consideration to technology research and development of complicated process intelligent control. It aims at promoting the intelligent level of petroleum equipment industry and driving mechanical and electrical equipment industries in auto-related parts in industrial concentration areas.
