About us: In 2011, NYNU was approved to undertake the program for national special need----Postgraduate program. From September 2012, it started to enroll students. There are more than one hundred students at school.
The Graduate school was established in June 2012, which is responsible for the enrollment, cultivation, management, degree awarding and is charge of the planning, application, evaluation, construction work of the degree program, the master tutors selection and other works related to degree and graduates education. Now it has three divisions: the recruitment and employment office, training office and degree and management office.

Scientific Research Bases: Now we have three research bases----they are provincial engineering research center of colleges and universities, provincial key laboratory and engineering laboratory at the provincial level respectively.
1. Agricultural Biomass Resource Engineering Center
The engineering center has established long-term cooperative relations with Henan Tianguan Company with the purpose of breaking through bottleneck of pretreatment methods of cellulosic ethanol raw materials and the key technology of low-cost hydrolysis so as to accelerate the development and industrialization of the biomass gas synthetic fuel catalyst. The instruments and equipment of the center value at $6 million. The center covers an area of over 5000 square meters, with twenty four professional personnel who include eight professors, fifteen associate professors, three PHD supervisors.
2. Funiu Insect Biology Key Laboratory
There are twenty five staff working in this laboratory, including five professors, seven associated professors and three PhD supervisors. Among them fifteen staff are master tutors, one of them is expert at national level and another one is the national candidate of New Century Talents Project, two of them are awarded specially-subsidized experts. Now we have more than thirty graduates at school and enroll joint training students and overseas students all the year. There are 1200 square meters for scientific research and over 370 sets instruments and equipment with the value of over 12 millions RMB. The laboratory is equipped with Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope, Flow Cytometer, Ultracentrifuge, high speed refrigerated centrifuge, fluorescence quantitative PCR, inverted fluorescence microscope, motored molecular imaging system and protein chromatography system.
Recent years, the staff of the laboratory have undertaken over ten national projects and more than thirty projects at or above provincial level, published more than one hundred academic papers on Chinese magazine and overseas journals. It is worth mentioning that some papers are published on the world-renowned journals, such as Nucleic Acids Research, Cell Mol Life SCI, Plos One and so on. Besides, the staff of the laboratory have published seventeen academic monographs, applied and been approved dozens of national patents. The lab is mainly engaged in developing the insect resources of Funiu mountain of Henan province and exploring and utilizing their potential medical value and industrial value.
3. Insect Bioreactor Engineering Laboratory of Henan province
The Laboratory is aiming at developing biological products produced by insect bioreactor, cultivating talents who will be equipped with the ability of developing broad-spectrum antibacterial polypeptide, interferon and antiviral antibody. Now the Laboratory covers the area of 2800 square meters, owns 350 sets of equipment with the value of over 20 million. There are forty four staff working in this Lab, including ten professors, fifteen associated professors and three PhD supervisors, and fifteen of them are master tutors.
The above Laboratories can be the intramural practicing stations for the postgraduates and also offer scientific research post for them.
