About us: School of Agricultural Engineering was established in September 1, 2015. It is a new institute separated from the college of life science and technology.

  Now there are fifty teachers in the school, of which forty five are full-time ones including four professors, five associated professors, thirty three Doctors, one doctoral supervisor, seven Master supervisors. Among them, one teacher is selected for the National Talents Project, another one is awarded specially-subsidized expert by the state council, one teacher is the leader of the academic and technology of Henan province, and two teachers are awarded as the Wolong scholars. Now there are five scientific research centers in this school. In recently years, the school has been approved to take 73 projects at different levels including 10 National Natural Science Foundation of China, 11 provincial level projects. The fund of the scientific research reached 6million.

Teaching:  undergraduate programs

Bachelors in Agronomy: the aim is to cultivate the practical talents who are equipped with basic theory, knowledge and skills of biological science and can work as a teacher, designer, manager or other roles in related fields.

Core Courses: Agricultural and Biological Sciences, agro-ecological science, Crop Genetics and Breeding, crop-cultivation and farming.

Bachelors in Landscape architecture: the aim is to cultivate practical talents who can work as a senior professional technical talents in city construction bureau, forest department, tourism authority and other related related industries.

Core Courses: Ecology, plant landscape design, landscape planning and design, landscape architecture

Faculty:

Kan Yunchao: male, Doctor, professor, academic and technological leader of Henan province.

Research Interests： Insect Physiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Main achievements: Professor Kan has undertaken two projects from National Natural Science Foundation and one program from Support Plan for Innovative Talents of Science and Technology of Henan province and one project from international science and technology cooperation projects supported by The Royal Society. Besides, he was granted two patents.

Zhao Liying: female, Professor

Research interests: Landscape Architecture, plant physiology and ecology.

Main achievements: In recent years, she has published over 20 papers, undertaken  2 provincial projects, participated in the research of one national project, four provincial projects, and won the prize of science and technology progress. She is an outstanding teachers who was awarded many honors and titles of the university.

Huang Si-liang：male, Ph.D., professor, doctoral supervisor, dean of the school of agricultural engineering, candidate of National talents of the new century who enjoy the special government allowance

Research interests: plant pathology, microbiology

Main achievements: professor Huang has published more than 180 academic papers at home and abroad in recent years, won the prize of the provincial science and technology progress.

Yao Lunguang: Post Doctor, academic and technological leader of Henan provincial. Wolong scholar.

Research Interests: Bio-engineering, entomology and microbial immunology

Main achievements: He has published more than thirty academic papers and taken charge of three projects from Natural Science Foundation of China and many other projects. Besides, he has obtained three national patents. He is the compiler of the textbook Genetic Engineering, which is the nationally planned textbook for Tenth Five-year Plan.

Li Yuying: female, post-doctor, professor, Master tutor, academic and technological leader of Nanyang city,

Research Interests: biomass energy and ecology research

Main achievements:

Professor Li has won ten patents and many other honors, she has written a textbook Fermentation Engineering published by China Agricultural University Press.

Li Dandan : female, Ph.D., associated professor, master tutor, Wolong scholar. She has published a lot of academic papers in the domestic core journals and taken over several projects of .

Research Interests: Insect physiological, molecular biology

Pang Fahu: male, Ph.D., associate professor. He has published more than 20 academic papers in core journals and taken charge of the research of 6 projects at different levels.

Research Interests: Plant Physiological Ecology, prevention and control of plant disease

Chen Jibao: male, Ph.D., associated professor, master tutor. He has published several influential academic papers in the international influential journals, and has won two national patents.

Research Interests: Molecular Biology

Qiao Huili: doctor, lecture, associated professor, master tutor. He has published over 20 academic papers in International SCI journals such as Cellular and Molecular Life Science, Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Journal of Insect physiology，PLoS ONE. Besides, he has accomplished one project from National Natural Science Foundation of China, and is now taking part in the research of two projects National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Research interests: function of olfactory proteins of insects in chemical communication and its molecular regulatory mechanism

Wu Fu-hua: male, agronomy, Ph.D., lecturer. National secondary trainer of TRIZ, director of innovation association in Henan province. He mainly undertakes the teaching and research of landscape design and planning. He has taken over one project from National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project from the National Natural Science Foundation of Henan province, and published more than ten academic papers. He has won the Science and Technology Progress Award.

Research interests: landscape design and planning

Ji Shidong : male, Ph.D., lecturer.

Research interests: crop genetics and breeding, molecular biology, edible fungus.

Zhang Yingjun: male, Ph.D., lecturer. He mainly gives the lectures on food processing technology, bio-engineering equipment, biotechnology, brewing technology, soft technology, fermentation product inspection. He has published 10 academic papers and be involved in compiling the book of The Simple Identification of Food Quality and has been authorized 5 invention patents.

Research interests: food processing technology

Chang Wei: male, agronomy, Ph.D., lecturer. He mainly gives the lecture on crop breeding. He has published 5 academic papers and has been authorized 2 patents.

Research interests: excellent gene of soybean, Application of haploid technology

Chen Zhaojin: male, doctor, lecturer. He has published ten academic papers and taken over one key project of Henan province.

Research interests: soil microbial molecular ecology

Ding Chuanyu : female, lecturer, Ph.D. She has published more than 10 papers at home and abroad.

Research interests: biological organic fertilizer and soil microorganisms

Jia Dianyong : male, lecturer, Ph.D. He has published more than 10 papers, including six SCI articles.

Jiao Zhujin: male, Ph.D, lecturer.

Yue Chao: male, Ph.D. He has undertaken one research program of national natural science foundation of youth.

Research interests: insect morphology and biological evolution

Ma Na : female, Ph.D, lecturer. She has undertaken one research program of national natural science foundation of youth and published 16 academic papers including 13 SCI articles.

Research interests: insect taxonomy, morphology and systematics.

Qiu Reng : female, Ph.D, lecturer. She has published 7 academic papers, all of them are SCI articles.

Research Interests: immunity genes of fish and insects and their Anti-infection mechanism

Shi Hongfei : male, Ph.D, lecturer. He has published 10 academic papers in international famous journals and undertaken several projects at different levels.

Research Interests: infectious disease of cattle and sheep

Tang Qinghai: male, Ph.D., lecturer, Master tutor, national veterinarian. He has taken over one project from National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project from the high educational key scientific research projects and published more than thirty academic papers and has been authorized two invention patents.

Research interests:  animal vaccine, diagnostic kit.

Tao Aili : female, Ph.D., lecturer. She mainly gives the lecture on Biochemistry, Plant Physiology and Microbiology.

Wang Bing : female, master, assistant.

Yang Yu: male, Ph.D., lecturer. He mainly gives the lecture on Landscape Planning and Design, Landscape Engineering, Management of Landscape Engineering.

Guo Jing : female, master, Assistant experimentalist. She mainly gives the lecture on  Landscape Architecture Design, Computer Aided Design.

Duan Jianping: male, Ph.D.,lecturer. He has taken over one project from National Natural Science Foundation of China, one project from the Science and Technology Agency of Henan province and published over ten academic papers in famous journals such as Transgenic Research, Mol. Reprod. Dev.
