On the afternoon of April 7th, Professor Zhou Haoming, doctoral supervisor of the Academy of Arts & Design of Tsinghua University, was invited to deliver an academic report on Green Design Ideas and Approaches Based on the Whole Life Cycle Evaluation in the lecture hall on the first floor of West District Library. More than 200 teachers and students of our school and some outside experts and scholars attended the lecture. Chen Xuanrong, vice dean of the School of Arts and Design presided over the lecture.
Professor Zhou Haoming started with the five stages of energy consumption in the whole life cycle of architecture and design products. By combining with many design cases from home and abroad, he systematically put forward nine sustainable design methods and ways of using healthy, low carbon, naturally degradable, or green recyclable materials, saving storage, long lasting and durability and so on. Professor Zhou Haoming’s report has greatly expanded the academic horizons of the teachers and the students. During the communication session, Professor Zhou gave detailed answers on the topics of interest.
On the morning of the 7th, Professor Zhou Haoming also presented at the Discipline Construction Training in the conference room of the School of Arts and Design. Combining the frontiers of discipline development and personal academic growth experience, Zhou made full exchanges with the participating teachers, from the academic orientation of the young teachers to their promotion strategies.
