[Lecture] Structure and Function of Biomedical Aggregate Probes

Lecturer: Prof. Zhao Zheng (The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen)

Date: August 17, 2025 (Sunday)

Time: 16:00

Venue: Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Administration Building (East Campus)

Introduction to the Lecture: This lecture focuses on the research on mechanisms underlying structural and property differences of biomedical photo-functional molecules before and after aggregation, as well as their applications in precise diagnosis, treatment, and efficacy evaluation of major diseases. It will reveal the structure-property relationships of materials at both microscopic and aggregate levels, and discuss the construction of diagnostic, tracing, and therapeutic devices with excellent targeting ability, good biosafety, and significant efficacy. The lecture will also promote their applications in revealing cellular physiological processes, disease diagnosis, and treatment.

Introduction to the Speaker: Zhao Zheng, PhD supervisor, is an Assistant Professor at the School of Science and Engineering and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He was awarded the inaugural Zhu Daoben Young Innovation Award in Organic Solids by the Chinese Chemical Society.
