[Lecture One] Detection Technology and Application of Atomic and Molecular Experimental Station in SHINE
Speaker: Professor Jiang Yuhai (ShanghaiTech University)
Date: February 27, 2023(Monday)
Time: 14:30-16:30
Venue: Lecture Hall, 3rd Floor, Science and Technology Building
Abstract: This report introduces the current situation at home and abroad of X-ray free electron laser and its important applications in atoms and molecules, how to study new X-ray quantum laws of atoms and molecules at femtosecond time scale and atomic space scale, so as to achieve selective and precise control and manipulation of quantum states of atoms and molecules by X-ray. It focuses on the construction of the soft and hard X-ray free electron laser atom and molecule experimental station in Shanghai. Finally, it describes the creation of broad-spectrum terahertz in the laboratory and presents preliminary applications of terahertz in silicon materials.
[Lecture Two] Discipline Construction and Fund Application Exchanging
Speaker: Professor Jiang Yuhai (ShanghaiTech University)
Date: February 27, 2023(Monday)
Time: 16:30-18:30
Venue: Conference Room 533, Science and Technology Building
Abstract: This report focuses on the preparation, conception, writing, and details of the NSF application, and shares points of concern in the application of the NSF. At the same time, correspondents will have in-depth exchanges with participating faculty on content requirements, selection of scientific research questions, design of research projects, pre-writing preparation and overall grasp of NSF application.
