The School of Civil Engineering and Architecture’s BIM Center has claimed remarkable accolades at the 11th International University BIM Graduation Design Innovation Competition, with three participating teams winning two first prizes and one third prize in the national finals.
As one of the largest nationwide architectural competitions for university students with the most comprehensive professional coverage, this year’s international event attracted over 14,000 teams from 700 universities nationwide. Focusing on the in-depth application of BIM technology in engineering design, construction management, and cost control, the competition emphasizes the integration of innovation and practical implementation. The BIM Center’s teams stood out with their solid professional competence and cutting-edge technical capabilities.
These achievements stem from the Center’s “real-project, real-operation” training model. Through the industry-academia collaborative BIM Training Center, student teams directly engage in actual enterprise projects, seamlessly connecting classroom theory with industry demands.
Moving forward, the School plans to establish a progressive education system featuring “foundation through courses → refinement through competitions → practice through projects” — with BIM technology at its core — aiming to cultivate more interdisciplinary professionals equipped for the industry’s digital transformation.
