Back Cover of Chemical Communications

The paper, co-authored by Dr. Xu Kun and Dr. Zhang Sheng, entitled An Ir-photoredox-catalyzed decarboxylative Michael addition of glyoxylic acid acetal as a formyl equivalent, was recently selected as the cover article by Chemical Communications, a renowned journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry. The cover image, designed by Dr. Xu, with a portrait of Zhuge Liang and his Memorial on Sending out the Troops as the background, fully demonstrated the historical characteristics of Nanyang.

Chemical Communications, with Impact Factor of 6.317, is one of the top 13 journals in chemistry collected by Nature Index, which is significant to Academic Rating.

In this August, the paper, entiltled Dualroles of sulfonyl hydrazides in the catalyst-free sulfonylation of unsaturated benzylic alcohols inwater, also co-authored by Dr. Zhang and Dr. Xu, had been selected as the cover article by Green Chemistry, a journal published by the Royal Society of Chemistry, with Impact Factor of 9.125.
