School of Chemistry and Pharmacy Engineering has four undergraduate programs: Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Pharmacy Engineering, and Materials Chemistry with an enrollment of more than 1100 students. The staff of School of Chemistry and Pharmacy Engineering have done extraordinary research and teaching in decades. The School has been awarded many national and provincial-grade honorable titles and other titles. The following are some of them. The program of Chemistry won national characteristic specialty of 2010; The Chemistry Laboratory Teaching Center won provincial laboratory teaching model center of 2011; Inorganic Chemistry was titled provincial key program in 2013.

Research

In order to serve the local economy, the School has developed the following academic discipline directions: biological inorganic chemistry, new energy materials, opto-electronic materials, design and synthesis of drug molecules and chemicobiology sensing. The faculty of the School have published more than two hundreds papers and hosted many projects including national science fund projects and other provincial-grade projects.

Programs

Focusing on Pharmacy Engineering and Materials Chemistry and guided by Students-oriented philosophy, the School carries out Tutor-throughout policy to manage and cultivate the students. Over four thousands students have been graduated since 1978. Extracurricular activities have been taken every year to enhance students’ personalities and specialties. More than sixty national awards have been gained so far. The School holds over 40% of graduate entrance admission rate and over 95% of undergraduate employment. Graduated students of the School have gained a reputation from the employers.

Faculty

The School has a faculty of sixty eight among whom thirteen are professors, forty two are doctors, three are postdoctoral researchers, one with National Outstanding Teacher Award, one with Provincial Outstanding Award and many with various exceptional awards.

Laboratory

Twenty-six laboratories are available in the School including basic chemical laboratories, integrated chemical laboratories, open laboratories, training laboratories, with a total area of 6000 m2 and many instruments including eighteen large-scale ones worth of 42 million RMB, which supply ample experiment room and a large number of instruments for undergraduate teaching.
