On the morning of November 18th, invited by the International Office and the School of Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering, Professor Bai Li delivered an academic report titled The Process of Building a Robot Control Course in the Central Music Hall. The report was chaired by Hui Ming, Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering, and attended by faculty representatives, all graduate students, and some undergraduate students.
Professor Bai began by introducing the latest advancements in robotics technology and then concentrated on analyzing the design and construction process of the robotics control course at Temple University. Through explanations of specific cases, he provided an overview of the evolution of robotics technology, from the initial application of the Roomba home vacuuming robot to the iterative development of open-source hardware-driven platforms and artificial intelligence vehicles. During the Q&A session, Professor Bai addressed questions from faculty and students, clarifying issues and outlining specific pathways for mastering core skills in this field. He also engaged in discussions with the attending faculty and students regarding efficient academic research methods, offering suggestions for the scientific research endeavors of the institution.
Professor Bai’s report has invigorated the enthusiasm of both faculty and students for pursuing research in artificial intelligence. His academic spirit and innovative pedagogical approach hold significant guiding value for the development and enhancement of the School’s teaching and research team. The exchange represents a convergence of knowledge and ideas. It also establishes a solid foundation for the institution to further deepen international cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence. By doing so, it can transform global best practices and infuse vitality into talent cultivation and academic innovation.
