[Lecture] Incompressible Navier-Stokes Equations and Related Issues
Speaker: Researcher Han Pigong (Chinese Academy of Sciences)
Date: July 21, 2024(Sunday)
Time: 9:00-11:00 a.m.
Venue: Room S504, Yifu Building
Lecture Content: The report introduces one of the millennium problems: the properties related to the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations. Firstly, it introduces the origin and background of the equation, the history and current state of research on the existence and regularity of weak solutions. Secondly, it introduces the long-term asymptotic behavior properties of the solutions. Finally, it lists some important unresolved issues.
Introduction to the Speaker: Han Pigong, researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He mainly engages in the study of fluid dynamics equations using Fourier analysis and the theory of analytic semigroups. So far, he has presided over several general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and as a key member, has participated in the National Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has also published many academic papers in internationally renowned journals.
